The Conversations-Lexikon mit vorzüglicher Rücksicht auf die gegenwärtigen Zeiten, Leipzig, 1796 to 1808, 8vo, 6 vols., 2,762 pages, was an encyclopedia edited by Dr Renatus Gotthelf Löbel, who intended to supersede Johann Hübner, and included geography, history, and in part biography, besides mythology, philosophy, natural history, etc. Vols. i-iv (A to R) appeared 1796 to 1800, vol. v in 1806. This work was acquired and completed by Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus in 1808 and formed the basis of the many editions of the Brockhaus encyclopedia, which continues publication to this day. Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (GmbH or GesmbH) is a type of legal entity created in Germany in 1892. Literally translating as company with limited liability, the Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung inspired the creation of the limited liability company entity in other countries. The GmbH model is extremely common in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Other variations include mbH (used when the term Gesellschaft is part of the company name itself) and gGmbH (gemeinnützige GmbH) for non-profit companies. (references) |

Mit brennender Sorge (German for "With deep anxiety", word by word: "With burning worry") is an encyclical of Pope Pius XI, published on March 10, 1937 (but bearing a date of Passion Sunday, March 14). The encyclical dealt with the condition of the Roman Catholic Church in Nazi Germany, and condemned Nazism. It is one of the few papal encyclicals in history not written in Latin. The encyclical was addressed to German bishops and was read in all parish churches of Germany. Pope Pius XI credited its creation and writing to his Papal Secretary of State, Eugenio Cardinal Pacelli. It had to be disseminated in secrecy. (references) |

The MIT Cog project is part of the Humanoid Robotics Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The researchers at MIT have determined that for a human-level intelligence to gain experience in interacting with humans it needs a large numbers of interactions. With a humanoid form it will be both easy and natural for humans to interact with a robot in a humanlike way. By creating behaviors that respond to environmental stimuli the robot will act more human and also have a better context to decipher and imitate the behavior of true humans. (references) |

The wines must be produced from recognised grape varieties grown within one district, which must be declared on the label, and the grapes must reach a prescribed level of ripeness depending on the region and variety. QmP wines are the only German wines for which chaptalization is forbidden. Before the current classification system, unchaptalized wines were indicated by the word naturwein on the label.
