It was the first ICC Trophy tournament to be staged, with matches between the 15 participating teams played over 60 overs a side and with white clothing and red balls. All matches were played in the Midlands, with the final being played on Worcestershire's ground at New Road. (references)
1982 ICC Trophy	The 1982 ICC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament held in England between 16 June and 10 July 1982. It was the second ICC Trophy tournament to be staged, with matches between the 16 participating teams played over 60 overs a side and with white clothing and red balls. As in the 1979 tournament, all matches were played in the Midlands, though on this occasion the final was held at Grace Road, Leicester, where Zimbabwe defeated Bermuda to qualify for the 1983 World Cup. Bad weather hampered the tournament throughout, with a large number of games being called off early or abandoned entirely because of rain; West Africa suffered most, seeing a result in only two of their seven group matches. 1986 ICC Trophy	The 1986 ICC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament held in England between 11 June and 7 July 1986. It was the third ICC Trophy tournament to be staged, and as with the previous two tournaments, games between the 16 participating teams played over 60 overs a side and with white clothing and red balls. All matches except the final were played in the Midlands, but the final was held at Lord's, London, where Zimbabwe defeated the Netherlands to qualify for the 1987 World Cup. 1982 ICC Trophy winners Sri Lanka had by now been promoted to full Test and ODI status, and so did not take part in 1986. The weather was much better than in the earlier competitions, and all matches were played to a result. (references)
1990 ICC Trophy	The 1990 ICC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament held in The Netherlands between 4 June and 23 June 1990. It was the fourth ICC Trophy tournament to be staged, and the first to be held outside England. It was also the first ICC Trophy competition to have a title sponsor, being known officially as the Unibind ICC Trophy. As in previous Trophies, matches were played over 60 overs a side and with white clothing and red balls. Zimbabwe won the competition for the second successive time, winning every game they played in the tournament, and as winners qualified for the 1992 World Cup. Shortly after the Trophy had been staged, Zimbabwe were in any case promoted to Full Member status of the ICC. (references)
2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup	The 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup was held in Vanuatu between 23-29 Septemeber 2005 as part of the 2011 Cricket World Cup qualification system. Six teams from the East Asia-Pacific Region competed in a round-robin stage, followed by ranking finals. Japan defeated the Cook Islands in a close final held at Club Hippique in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Both finalists qualified for the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy; the other four teams had their World Cup hopes dashed six years before the final competition. (references)
2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup	The 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup is a cricket competition for 12 nations from Asia, Africa, North America and Europe. All the games are scheduled for three days and are designated first class. 2005 marks the second time the tournament is being held. Scotland won the first tournament in 2004. (references)
2005 ICC Trophy	The 2005 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Ireland between 1 July and 13 July. It was an international one-day tournament played over 50 overs per side between 12 associate members of the International Cricket Council. It came with the prize of a place in the 2007 cricket World Cup (and together with it a share of USD 2,500,000 for future development) for the five top-ranked teams, and with the prize of official one-day international status from 1 January 2006 (until the 2009 ICC Trophy) for the five top-ranked teams other than Kenya. Kenya have already been given official one-day status till the 2009 Trophy. (references)

ICC Elite umpire panel	The ICC Elite Umpire Panel is a panel of umpires, who officiate in Test matches all around the world and in one-day international games. At present, the Panel consists of Steve Bucknor (West Indies), Darrell Hair, Simon Taufel and Daryl Harper (Australia), Brent Bowden (New Zealand), Rudi Koertzen (South Africa) and Aleem Dar (Pakistan). The Panel has only seven members currently, after the retirements of David Shepherd (England) and Srinivas 'Venkat' (India). Three members were also removed from the panel, Asoka Da Silva, David Orchard and Russell Tiffin due to poor performances. The Panel is generally thought of to contain the best umpires in the world, and mistakes from the umpires on it are usually rare. The Panel was created after it was decided that neutral umpires would be used in Test matches, rather than umpires or an umpire from the home nation, which was the system before. The incredible demands of the Panel has meant that some umpires have decided against joining, such as Peter Willey and Neil Mallender of England. (references)

ICC Trophy	The ICC Trophy is an international one-day cricket tournament run under the auspices of the International Cricket Council. Any Associate or Affiliate member of the ICC may attempt to qualify for the ICC Trophy by means of a system of regional qualifying events. Zimbabwe have won the event the most, with three successive titles from 1982 to 1990. Three current Test nations have won the ICC Trophy, and can thus not defend their title any more, unless the ICC decides to revoke their Test status, which would make them eligible to compete in the ICC Trophy again.
