The proverb is applied to a tricky, self-willed person, who will neither be led or driven. Source: Brewer's Dictionary.

Hunt and Douglas process Mining Consists of roasting matte carrying copper, lead, gold, and silver at a very low temperature, forming copper sulfate and oxide, but not silver sulfate. This product is leached with dilute sulfuric acid for copper. The resulting solution is treated with calcium chloride, and the copper is precipitated as subchloride by passing SO2 through the solution. The cuprous chloride is then reduced to cuprous oxide by milk of lime, regenerating calcium chloride, and the cuprous oxide is smelted. (references)

Hunt the Wumpus Computing Hunt the Wumpus (Or "Wumpus") /huhnt th* wuhm'p*s/ A famous family of computer games, dating back at least to 1972 (several years before ADVENT) on the Dartmouth Time-Sharing System. Hunt the Wumpus was created by Ken Thompson on an early version of Unix. It was created from a game in a children's magazine, and was made to give his young son something to do on the computer. The wumpus lived somewhere in a cave with the topology of an dodecahedron's edge/vertex graph (later versions supported other topologies, including an icosahedron and Moebius strip). The player started somewhere at random in the cave with five "crooked arrows"; these could be shot through up to three connected rooms, and would kill the wumpus on a hit (later versions introduced the wounded wumpus, which got very angry). Unfortunately for players, the movement necessary to map the maze was made hazardous not merely by the wumpus (which would eat you if you stepped on him) but also by bottomless pits and colonies of super bats that would pick you up and drop you at a random location (later versions added "anaerobic termites" that ate arrows, bat migrations and earthquakes that randomly changed pit locations). This game appears to have been the first to use a non-random graph-structured map (as opposed to a rectangular grid like the even older Star Trek games). In this respect, as in the dungeon-like setting and its terse, amusing messages, it prefigured ADVENT and Zork and was directly ancestral to both (Zork acknowledged this heritage by including a super-bat colony). A port was distributed with SunOS and as freeware for the Macintosh. There is a freeware C emulation of the original Basic game. (1999-02-15). Source: The Free On-line Dictionary of Computing..

Treasure hunt Art An exercise in which students are required by their instructor to use the resources of the library to find answers to a list of very specific and often unrelated questions, sometimes as a contest. This type of assignment usually puts a temporary strain on the reference desk, especially when a large number of students converge on the library, all needing the same information at the same time. For this reason, it is one of the "pet peeves" of reference librarians who believe library skills are best learned in the context of a more meaningful research assignment. (references)

The Table, The Table Spread O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah. for Allah is strict in punishment.

¡Y temed a Alá! Alá castiga severamente...
