Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (Federal University of Juiz de Fora) - UFJF - is a university located in the city of Juiz de Fora, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Like others Federal Universities, UFJF is owned by the Brazilian government. It was set up in 1960 by the union of the Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Economy and Odontology Schools that already existed in Juiz de Fora by that time. In the end of the 1960's the newly built campus was opened, and since then the number of courses raised. The campus of UFJF is considered one of the most beautiful in Brazil, due its large green area. (references)
