| Somatic Experiencing | Somatic Experiencing is a form of therapy that claims to relieve the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental and physical trauma-related health problems by focusing on the client’s perceived body sensations (or somatic experiences). It was invented by American Peter Levine and is partially described in his 1997 book Waking the Tiger. The evidence for the effectiveness of this therapy is mostly anecdotal. (references) | ||
