Extended Definition: EXOLUTION

Exolution

Exolution Entertainment LLC is an artist representation, production, and consulting company based in Los Angeles, California. Exolution specializes in artist representation and booking, event production, digital media, and international music business.

The company was established in early 2007 by John Wooler, former A&R executive at Virgin Records and founder of Point Blank Records, and Corey Johnson. Recently, Ted Gardner, co-founder of Lollapalooza and ex-manager of Tool joined the organization as the President of Artist Representation. In Spring 2007, Exolution put together and managed a ground-up music venture for UK Trade & Investment called Meridian UK. The project was a post-South by Southwest tour and promotional campaign for British rock bands Scanners and The Hedrons.

Exolution currently represents four artists: Jubala, Woven, The Storm Petrels from Scotland, and the up-and-coming aerial performance troupe Illume of the Vampyre.

The name Exolution is a portmanteau that combines the word 'exodus' with 'evolution,' 'revolution,' or 'solution.' 'Exolution' evokes a movement away from stagnant business models and toward a creative, global and digitally-minded approach to the music business.
