Specialty Definition: EUTROPHIC

Domain Definition
Administration A body of water characterized by a high level of plant nutrient, with correspondingly high primary productivity. (references)
Aerospace 1: Having high concentrations of nutrients optimal, or nearly so, for plant or animal growth. Can be applied to nutrient or soil solutions and bodies of water. (references)
2: Containing an optimum concentration of plant nutrients. (references)
3: Having concentrations of nutrients optimal or nearly so for plant or animal growth. It is used to describe nutrient or soil solutions. (references)
Energy Nutrient enrichment of a body of water that contains more organic matter than existing biological oxidization processes can consume. A body of water which has become, either naturally or by pollution, rich in nutrients and often seasonally deficient in dissolved oxygen. Reservoirs and lakes which are rich in nutrients and very productive in terms of aquatic animal and plant life. (references)
Geology Rich in dissolved nutrients, photosynthetically productive and often deficient in oxygen during warm weather. (Compare oligotrophic.). (references)
Mining 1: Having concentrations of nutrients optimal, or nearly so, for plant, animal, or microbial growth. (Said of nutrient or soil solutions and bodies of water.) The term literally means "self-feeding." (references)
2: Said of a body of water characterized by a high level of plant nutrients, with correspondingly high primary productivity. (references)
Water Having high primary productivity; pertaining to waters rich in the mineral nutrients required by green plants. (references)

Specialty Expressions: EUTROPHIC

Expressions Domain Definition
Eutrophic (Water) Administration Pertaining to a lake or other body of water characterized by large nutrient concentrations such as nitrogen and phosphorous and resulting high productivity. Such waters are often shallow, with algal blooms and periods of oxygen deficiency. Slightly or moderately eutrophic water can be healthful and support a complex web of plant and animal life. However, such waters are generally undesirable for drinking water and other needs. Degrees of Eutrophication typically range from Oligotrophic water (maximum transparency, minimum chlorophyll-a, minimum phosphorus) through Mesotrophic, Eutrophic, to Hypereutrophic water (minimum transparency, maximum chlorophyll-a, maximum phosphorus). Also see Carlsons Trophic State Index (TSI) and (Mean) Trophic State Index (TSI). (references)
Eutrophic Lakes Administration 1: Lakes that are rich in nutrients and organic materials, therefore, highly productive for plant growth. These lakes are often shallow and seasonally deficient in oxygen in the Hypolimnion. Also see Oligotrophic Lakes. (references)
2: Shallow, murky bodies of water that have excessive concentrations of plant nutrients causing excessive algal production. (See: dystrophic lakes.). (references)
Eutrophic peat Mining Peat rich in plant nutrients, nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, and calcium. Synonymous with calcareous peat. (references)
Eutrophic Zone Administration An area, particularly with respect to lakes, where there exists sufficient light for photosynthesis to take place. (references)

"Intensity" is a score indicating the number of overlapping cliques where the word pair is found (an integer before the decimal); the first digit after the decimal is the number of overlapping terminal characters up to 9; the second characters is number of leading common characters up to 9; the last two digits measure the Levenshtein distance subtracted from 100.
