Expressions Definition
ESP Guitars The ESP Guitar Company (Electric Sound Products), located in North Hollywood, California, is a prominent manufacturer of electric guitars and basses. (references)
ESP Viper The ESP Viper is a model of electric guitar made by ESP Guitars. Like most ESP instruments, it is based on another guitar (in this case a Gibson SG), but has been equipped with top-of-the-top level features. It is a one-piece instrument, giving excellent sustain compared to standard Gibson SGs. The body is mahogany, which is well known for giving a thick 'fat' tone. The neck is three-pieced, with an ebony fingerboard, which resists warping and helps to balance out the instrument. As standard, it comes fitted with an EMG 81/85 pickup set. It has a scale length of 25.75". This gives a prime node for artificial harmonics at a little over 6"; so a little past the neck pickup. (references)
