Eir

In Norse mythology, Eir is an ásynja who is referred to as 'the best physician' in the Prose Edda book Gylfaginning.[1] In the Prose Edda book Skáldskaparmál Eire is included among a list of valkyries. In the Poetic Edda poem Svipdagsmál, Eir is the name of one of the nine maidens who serve the giantess Menglöd.
