Dearborn Mosque (Michigan) Dearborn Mosque is a Mosque belonging to the American Moslem Society in Dearborn, Michigan. It was built in 1937 by the nascent Islamic community (then mostly Sunni Muslims from Bekaa Valley in Lebanon). The current building is three stories high and almost an entire city block on the intersection of Vernor and Dix Streets. (references)
Dearborn River The Dearborn River is a tributary of the Missouri River, approximately 70 mi (113 km) long, in western Montana in the United States. It rises in the Lewis and Clark National Forest, near Scapegoat Mountain in the Lewis and Clark Range of the Rocky Mountains at the continental divide, in western Lewis and Clark County. It flows generally southeast through secluded canyons, and joins the Missouri near Craig. (references)
Dearborn Station (Chicago) Dearborn Station was the oldest of the six intercity train stations serving downtown Chicago, Illinois during the heyday of rail in the twentieth century. Additionally, the station was used as a terminal for commuter traffic. Located at Dearborn and Polk Streets, it was also referred to as Polk Street Station. The station was owned by the Chicago and Western Indiana Railroad, which was owned by the companies operating over it. (references)
Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn (March 3, 1783 - July 29, 1851) was an American lawyer, author, statesman and soldier. He was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, the son of Henry Dearborn by his second wife. He attended the common schools and went to Williams College for two years and then graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1803. He studied law, was admitted to the bar and practiced in Salem, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine (which was then a part of Massachusetts). He was the collector of customs in Boston from 1812-1829 and served as brigadier general commanding the Volunteers in the defenses of Boston Harbor during the War of 1812. (references)
