Domain Definition
Noah Webster [Adjective] Like coal; containing coal.. Source: Webster's 1828 American Dictionary.
Wikipedic Coaly is the name of a mule who helped to build the original Old Main building on the campus of the Pennsylvania State University by carrying limestone from a nearby quarry. After completing that job, the mule was purchased by Penn State and assisted in other building projects on the campus. He died of natural causes on January 1, 1893 and by that time he had became an unofficial mascot to the student body. In 1906, the Nittany Lion was chosen as the official mascot of the school.
