Butch Byrd George "Butch" Byrd (born 1941) of Boston University was one of the best running backs and pass receivers on the Terrier football team of the early '60s. He joined the Buffalo Bills in 1964 and immediately made an impact in the defensive backfield, with seven interceptions. Byrd was also a solid punt returner for his entire career. He is most remembered for a scintillating punt return in the 1965 American Football League Championship game against the San Diego Chargers. Byrd took a John Hadl punt and with fabulous blocking, took it 74 yards for a TD. (references)
Byrd (lunar crater) Byrd is an irregular crater that is located near the north pole of the Moon. The north rim of Byrd is nearly connected to the Peary crater, a formation that is adjacent to the pole. The smaller Gioja crater is attached to the remains of the southwest rim. (references)
Byrd Amendment The Byrd Amendment is also known as the Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000 (CDSA). The act is American legislation closely associated with its chief sponsor, Democratic Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia. The act changed the disposition of funds raised from duties on imports that the US government has determined to be subsidized or otherwise unfairly priced. Prior to the act, those funds were incorporated into the US budget. The Act specifies that the funds be distributed to the US companies that file pricing complaints. (references)

Byrd Park Byrd Park is a public park located in Richmond, Virginia north of the James River and adjacent to Maymont Park. It includes a one mile running track with exercise stops, monuments, an amphitheatre, and three small lakes: Shields, Swan, and Boat Lake.
