Bosnian Church The Bosnian Church (crkva bosanska, ecclesia bosnensis) was an indigenous Christian sect which existed in Bosnia during in the Middle Ages. Adherents of the church called themselves simply Krstjani ("Christians"). The church no longer exists, having disappeared completely under the period of Ottoman rule. The church's organization and beliefs are poorly understood, because few if any records were left by church members, and the church is mostly known from the writings of outside sources, primarily Roman Catholic ones. Bosnian crisis The Bosnian Crisis of 1908-1909 was precipitated by the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by Austria-Hungary in October, 1908. It increased tensions amongst the Great Powers and led to a controversy between the Dual Monarchy and Turkey. It also led to international complications, which for several weeks in early 1909 threatened to end in a general European war and helped sow the seeds for World War One. (references)

Bosnian Pine The Bosnian Pine (Pinus heldreichii, synonym P. leucodermis; family Pinaceae) is a species of pine that occurs in the mountains of southeastern Europe, in southwestern Bulgaria, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, northern Greece (south to Mount Olympus), and locally in southern Italy, growing at 900-2,500 m altitude. Bosnian Tornjak The Bosnian Tornjak is a dog breed native to central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a mountain sheep dog, found specifically in the Travnik region. It is part of the "Tornjak" race of dogs, which is split into the Croatian Tornjak and the Bosnian Tornjak. The Bosnian Tornjak typically has stronger bones, and a better highlighted difference between the sexes. (references)
