Ron Bennington is a stand-up comic and co-host of The Ron and Fez Show. Ron's radio career started on The Ron and Ron Show in Florida with co-host Ron Diaz. In 1997, the show disbanded and Ron teamed up with Fez Whatley to create The Ron and Fez Show. The show eventually moved to New York, although it spent two years broadcasting out of Washington D.C. exclusively. The USS Bennington Monument is a sixty-foot granite obelisk in the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, San Diego, California. It serves as a monument to the memory of the crew of the USS Bennington (PG-4), a gunboat of the United States Navy whose two boilers exploded on the morning of July 21, 1905. The explosion showered the vessel with live steam and scalding water, killing 60 men and burning an additional 40. The monument was dedicated some three years later on January 7, 1908. (references) |
