Definition: Dope |
DopeNoun1. A soft drug consisting of the dried leaves of the hemp plant; smoked or chewed for euphoric effect. 2. A strong-smelling plant from whose dried leaves a number of euphoriant and hallucinogenic drugs are prepared. 3. An ignorant or foolish person. 4. Carbonated drink flavored with extract from Kola nuts (`dope' is a southernism in the United States). 5. Slang terms for inside information; "is that the straight dope?". Verb1. Take dope. 2. Add impurities to (a semiconductor) in order to produce or modify its properties; in electronics: "The resistors have been doped". 3.
