A deciliter, abbreviated dL, is one tenth of a liter, or 1×10-4 m3, or 100 milliliter. The SI prefix "deci" stands for one-tenth. A cup of coffee contains roughly one deciliter. While the unit is not used very much, it occurs in the common measure mg/dL which is used for the glucose concentration in blood.See 1_E-4_m³ for a list of comparable volumes.
