DU HAST

Du Hast is the title of a song by the German rock group Rammstein. The title is commonly interpreted as "You Hate", but it's really a long play on words as you can see in the literal translation below:

(*) Du hast means You have, but Du haßt means You hate, and sounds the same.
(**) Tod, der scheide (without capital and with a comma) means death which would separate, whereas Tod der Scheide (with a capital S and without comma) means death of the vagina.
