Clement Seymour "Sir Coxsone" Dodd (born January 26 1932) is a Jamaican record producer who was influential in the development of reggae and other forms of Jamaican music in the 1950s, 60s and later.
Sir D was born in Kingston. He has worked with performers including Lee "Scratch" Perry, Winston "Burning Spear" Rodney, and Sugar Minott, and is also known to have opened the first black-owned recording studio in Jamaica, in 1963 (see 1963 in music).
